No good selfie on hand? This tool opens your device camera with a live, mirrored preview so you can position yourself perfectly, then captures a single square frame and analyzes it on the spot. The button below opens the detector with the camera already launching.
How it works
Your browser asks for camera permission (nothing starts until you allow it). A live preview appears; when you press "Take Photo," the tool grabs one frame, un-mirrors it so measurements reflect your true face, closes the camera immediately, and runs the same 478-landmark AI analysis as the photo detector. The feed is never recorded or transmitted — everything stays on your device.
Best-capture checklist
Face the light source, hold the camera at eye level and arm's length, pull hair off your face, take off glasses, and keep a neutral expression. Retakes cost two seconds, so take a couple and use the clearest. More tips in our camera guide.
Troubleshooting
No permission prompt? Click the camera/lock icon in the address bar and set Camera to Allow. Black preview? Close video-call apps holding the camera. No webcam? Use the photo detector instead — on phones the file picker can open the native camera.
